Not too many years ago the Cleveland Indians were playing for playoff spots and a chance for World Series gold, but that is not the case anymore. The Indians in recent years have traded away some of their top players and this year they are moving players again. Austin Kearns was shipped to the New York Yankees while Jake Westbrook was sent to the St. Louis Cardinals.

Westbrook was an  2004 All-Star, the 32-year-old righty was 6-7 with a 4.65 ERA in 21 starts this year. He is 69-71 overall in 10 major league seasons. Westbrook has been with Cleveland since he started and leaving was tough for him. He knows though he could be pitching in the playoffs and maybe even an World Series for the Cardinals. For Indians fans they watched another good player leave the fold.
